Having to know they had taken over the Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome, we did not even consider looking at any other hotel. The area seemed to be in a central location and we trust the quality standards of Jumeirah. We thought it may be a little pricey but surely worth it.
The hotel interiors are Art Deco style, warm neutrals with hints of maroon and deep reds. It has an impressive collection of oil paintings from Picasso, Dali, Burri and many others. The staff is friendly, inviting and very generous, knowing we were Sirius members, they upgraded us to the Junior Suite! There are different types of rooms, depending on the budget, with two fine dining restaurants, a bar and the very famous Aqva Spa (They use only Bvlgari Skincare Products).
The hotel is located in a vibrant and bright location, which has a lot of street restaurants and cafes. It's one of the busiest and upscale neighborhoods in Rome. [There is lovely cafe right outside the hotel serving mouthwatering Italian food].
The Magnolia restaurant (where breakfast is served) has simple contemporary interiors and the breakfast buffet consists of a lavish spread of breads, cereals, juices, flavored yogurts, fruits, pastries and other confectioneries.
There seemed to be a sure-shot collaboration with Bvlgari because the bathroom amenities were Bvlgari and the stylish designer handbags and jewelry were being sold at the lobby.
